Area Managers Full Time NEW

Purpose

The Area manager is responsible for the execution and the implementation of the OPTIONS strategy across all the stores in his/her area. Ensuring the store team is aligned, focused and able to run a successful store.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implementation of the company strategy to ensure long-term success and sustainability across all stores in his/her area.
• Set standards and objectives for different stores and departments.
• Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency across the area.
• Driving excellent customer service across all stores.
• Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals.
• Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within cost budget.
• Ensure that company assets are well looked after, and that the necessary maintenance is done.
• Implement the necessary risk policies to minimize risk and shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Coach and train store managers and store teams.
• Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve performance.
• Report to the Operations Manager on the achievement of targets.
• Opening of new stores

Minimum Requirements & Experience

• Diploma/ Degree in Business Management/ Retail Management is an added advantage
• Proven experience as area manager, store manager, assistant manager or similar managerial role.
• Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.
• Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
• Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success.
• Working knowledge of ERP software.
• The ability to prioritize and plan
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
