SHE & Risk Officer Full Time

Your principal responsibilities shall include the following:

• Coordinate, implement and monitor the organisation’s SHER activities, to ensure that Bolux operations strictly comply with best standard practices to provide a safe and conducive work environment for all.
• Conduct Risk Assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Develop and ensure adherence and conformance to applicable SHER policies, standard
• Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions throughout the entire operations including the outside Depots.
• To conduct regular SHER assessments/audits to establish the level of adherence to applicable company policies, procedures and advise management on possible SHER risks that might negatively impact the business.
• Take part in the OHS Committee, as a key member and liaise with other departmental Safety Representative and keep relevant documentation for continuous improvement.
• To liaise and work as a team with other personnel in the Compliance Division, to support the implementation of other management systems such as Quality, Food Safety, Security, Kaizen and others to ensure that Bolux subscribes to
• World Class Manufacturing best practices.
• Ensure all incidents, accidents including near misses are well documented, investigated and corrective actions put in place in our quest for ZERO accidents in the work environment.
• Prepare and participate in IMS compliance audit data by compiling and analysing internal and external information.
• Support the development of SHER & Kaizen policies and programs.
• Drive SHER processes and management initiatives are applied to ensure a SHER culture is fully entrenched.
• Support departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with various auditors and various departments.
• Advise and instruct on various SHER, ESG and Kaizen related matters (Noise levels, safe use of machines etc.).
• Update job knowledge and participate in educational opportunities for process & systems improvements.
• Collect data and information for all systems and projects for analysis.
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to appropriate regulations and legislations.
• Compile statistical analysis of data collected.
• Participate and conduct IMS audits on all systems (Internal & External).
• Prepare monthly report on IMS activities and improvements identified.
• Participate actively in the implementation and maintaining of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate should have bachelor’s degree in OHS/ Food Science and Technology/Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Training on ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9000, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000, will be an added advantage. The position requires at least five (5) years of experience in the FMCG and manufacturing industry.
